Two signatures of Acer's booming economy: the Swiss Re Building and the Coca-Cola building.

The Apple Store and its neighboring plaza on the edge of the Sky District, surrounded by dense green forest.

The T-junction for Interstate 1 and Spur 1, surrounded by calming fall trees.

The infamous central park in Historic Downtown.

Victorian-style luxury apartments near the main crossing over the Sky District's Spur 1. The west side of Central Acer features numerous hills that slope downwards to Acer River. The one-way road at center-right is a frontage road for Spur 1.

Central Acer, with a population of almost 500,000 people, is Acer's well-known urban core. Three highways cut through this part of the city: Interstate 1 running north-south, Interstate 3 running east-west, and Spur 1 which tunnels through the famed Sky District.

Acer was founded in the "Historic Downtown" area, where a small town of about 15 blocks was founded in 1890. The city exploded beyond the flat coastline of Central Acer and out into the mountains and valleys that lay on the horizon.

Anyway, onto the pictures:

This is an aerial view of Central Acer. The Acer River flows through the center of the image, with the

dense urban jungle covering the land on both sides.

Historic Downtown, once well known for its peaceful central park and quaint 1890s-style apartment buildings,

is seeing modern development creep up on it.

The Sky District is home to downtown's three tallest skyscrapers. Land value here is extremly high - and so is traffic.

Spur 1, which is below grade in the Sky District, along with its frontage roads, are clogged with commuters during

morning rush hour.

The city's tallest tower, at night:

Central Acer's small, high-tech industrial district. This area spills over into surrounding parts of the city, yet does not

compare with the massive Port Acer region to the east.

Skyscrapers and office buildings blanket Interstate 3 in one of the densest parts of the entire city.
