Update 17: Walking down Memory Lane-Now a Boulevard
I still don't have pictures for the next chapter, so I decided to head down Memory Lane and show you some pics from the first Paradise City. Bear in mind I was still new to the game, so it may not be too easy on the eyes.
Paradise Hwy (Now I-1/10) and Westside Pkwy. I was just starting to learn how to grade separate.

Same area, though after grade separation. I was starting a light rail line, which explains the construction lots at the top.

More grade separation. The north south avenue is Spencer Blvd, and the east west avenue is Annapolis Blvd. Neither exist today. Annapolis Blvd was too redundant and Spencer Blvd got absorbed into the Inner Ring Road. I think I got more skyscrapers when I had no custom content then now.

The area now. This time I squeezed the mass transit line in instead of bulldozing land for it.

The western CBD. Looks a lot different now. More light rail construction.

See the difference?

More light rail construction somewhere downtown, east of the current I-1/10. More light rail construction.

The old convention center and even more light rail construction.

US 6 being grade separated. I was planning on upgrading it to freeway status when there was enough traffic. Note the horrible slopes on either side.

My first accident. I was so proud!

My first use of the avenue roundabout. I was planning on making a park, but never got around to it.

More construction work, this time in the industrial park. Honestly I think this area's changed little from then, except the light rail line is elevated and different industries. Try and guess where it is now.

I hope you enjoyed some of the only shots I have of my early playing days. Now you know how much I used to suck. ![]()
