Death from above
Since the start of the war, Kaliningrad civilian airport has been used as slipway for military jets but mainly bombers like the Tu-160F (improved version of the original Tu-160) here taking off. Americans have put their eyes on our city...

On the 17th of june, the situation has developed on the siberian front. Chineses have been stopped at Irkutsk, in southern central siberia after massive russian counter-attacks. The war is going well for our coalition, but the Vladivostok defenders are near to collapse under american/chinese advance. The city was completely conquered but our valiant forces were able to form an impenetrable defensive line out the devasted metropolis.

American reinforcements have stopped arriving, since the USA had to mind about the military threat in latin america and from western europe. Our soldiers and people is giving everything to defend the homeland and especially this strategical region. In the Primorsky there are more than 5 russian million soldiers resisting to 1,2 million americans and tens of millions of chineses. Our ground and air superiority is the only thing that keeps chineses far from conquering the whole region in a day.
The USA are close to lose any possibility to invade Russia, only with an epical win in the russian far east they would get a chance.

Meanwhile Kaliningrad is sleeping; something strange is in the air... (and no, it's not the heavy pollution heralded by environmentalists)

Northern Kaliningrad Ground Forces Base (Misha), 4:45 a.m.

Sirene alarm.
Radar operator: (asleep and drunk) ...Uh and what the heck is this? (drinks some vodka) Holy mother Russia these are enemy contacts!

Captain Sheffield, 67th airborne brigade: Ok guys, ready up, we're going to take over this city for the golden eagle better known as the USA.
Soldiers: Hurrah!

5:05 a.m. in the military base...
Captain Vladimir, Spetsnaz 34th: Ok guys, they've just landed in the suburbs, mainly Kharkov and kamyshin, we estimated their number in 800 or 900, they've no support but they're special forces groups probably so beware of 'em. If we let Kaliningrad to them the americans could put us in difficulties, since this is one of the few working airports in the area, and don't forget that some bombers are stationed right here. We must defeat them at any cost also if we are just few hundreds.
We have some artyllery and air support but use it wisely guys.
You Cuichov will defend Kharkov, while me and you Smeriov will get back Kamyshin, others on patrol around the city. Good luck people, now get back to your units fast.
Spetsnaz starts evacuation of civilians in Kaliningrad center. The population still doesn't understand what is going on.

The sun is rising and the Spetsnaz are approaching to Kharkov and Kamyshin from Misha.
Many americans have barricaded themselves in civilian houses and ready to resist to our counter attacks.
Captain Vladimir orders to break in using special smoke grenades.
Cuichov engages enemy in Kharkov and gets back the suburb in the afternoon after bloody fights and use of artyllery strikes...
Situation in Kamyshin is more complex, the airborne is much larger and tank help was requested.

In the late afteroon the americans were destroyed also in Kamyshin, losses for our troops are contained but the suburbs involved are devasted.
Kharkov:

Kamyshin:

Damages to the buildings are contained, but the 2 suburbs are on fire.
The goal was reached, the airport is safe and also the railway is functional.
The worst is over, but reconstruction will not be immediate, the city will still play a major role in supplying our troops, there's no money and no interest in rebuilding some parts of the city now, also because Kaliningrad is being evacuated permanently until undeterminated time.
Captain Vladimir: People of Russia, we have managed to defend this city! The motherland will be grateful to us for the decades to come!
