Saraton is the second populous city  in Valaria, and the center of the Saraton metropolitan area. A leading city, Saraton exerts a powerful influence over global commerce, finance, media, culture, art, fashion, research, education, and entertainment.

Located on a the conflux of the Valariariver, Embrace River the Alexis River and the Seventh sea it is a good natural harbor.

trade with the natives on the river.

It remained a relative small trading and fishing post till it was designate the capital of the viceroyalty of Valaria. Valaria was one of the 7 viceroyalties in the great continental divide of 1680. The city became the center of trade for the region, especially due to, abolishment of slavery and freedom of religion the liberal view of the viceroy. Saraton also became the base for the colonial guard a fast military force to defend the viceroyalties.

Increasing tension between the 7 viceroyalties and the motherland lead to the Melonosian war of independence or the 11 year war  from 1783 - 1794. The United provinces or Melonosia was proclaimed in 1795 under the rule of general Dolza. In 5 years he turned the unity in to a empire with him as the head of state holding absolute power. Slavery was reinstated , freedom of religion was abandoned and high taxes were imposed. Valaria was the first province to liberate itself from the tyranny of General Dolza under the leadership of General Ayala.

. Independence was proclaimed in 1805. First president was J.P. Sorin. Soon after, Valaria was invaded by the colonial powers of the Naboo. Saraton was occupied in 1810. The invaders were expelled in 1811.

After these decades of struggle and war  years of peace and harmony lay ahead. The liberal views and freedom of religion and the abolishment of slavery attracted people from all over the continent to Valaria. Especially the original inhabitants of the continent who were driven away from the other states. In 1840 the second Naboo invasion was crushed in the battle of Amoras.
