War Zone

January 21st, 0165AL (2021)

As the continued to watch the group, they ran around the corner, stopped, and then a small lightning bolt came back around the corner, just as there was a flash of light from behind them. Major Zargolf and Lt. Black pointed their guns at the newcomer, but then lowered them when they saw who it was.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Hello.

brad2ye7.jpgBrad: You were the one that beamed that one muphridian out, right?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Yes. The rest will be harder, though.

One of the enemy muphridians walked out in the middle of the intersection, and then began shooting out more green fire, and one from around the corner did the same. Lauren raised her arms, and even more green fire appeared, flying at the enemy.

The fire met in the middle of the street, and quickly began forming a massive fireball.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: I can't keep doing this forever, you know.

majzargolfne1.jpgMajor Zargolf: Fire!

DPM-2 opened fire on the muphridian in the intersection, who quickly dropped, and part of the fireball dissipated, followed by the rest of the fireball, as Lauren, and the remaining enemy, stopped their attack.

blankqw1.jpg Communicator: I have a lock on the target.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Go.

Another flash of light engulfed the fallen muphridian, just as another fireball appeared around the corner. Lauren got ready to return fire, but the fireball disappeared several seconds later.

brian2gk4.jpgBrian: The lifesigns dissapeared...

Lauren stared at the intersection for a few seconds before looking back at DPM-2

laurende9.jpg Lauren: They're gone, a pile of ash is all that is left. Oh, and before I forget.

She waved her arm at the burning apartment building, and the fires went out.

ltblacktb7.jpgLt. Black: It's nice you can do that, too.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Yes, if you can create fires, you have to be able to put them out as well.

laurbl7.jpg Laur: Indeed.

They began walking down to where the other muphridians were.

majzargolfne1.jpgMajor Zargolf: Where is DPM-5?

brian2gk4.jpgBrian: I think they're coming, I see them on the lifesigns detector.

DPM-5 appeared at the light rail crossing after running along side of the tracks.

colduvanregg4.jpg Lt. Col. Duvanre: Sorry, we got a little lost in the building after the explosion. Whoa, this place looks like a war zone...

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Yes, that tends to happen when there are fire fights, especially when there is both types of fire fights going on.

colduvanregg4.jpg Lt. Col. Duvanre: What?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Gunfire and fire fire.

colduvanregg4.jpg Lt. Col. Duvanre: Oh.

They stopped at the intersection, and looked around.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: See, I told you they disappeared.

colduvanregg4.jpg Lt. Col. Duvanre: But where did they go.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: I think that is them.

As she said this, she pointed at the pile of ash on the edge of the road.

To be continued...

bbfan02: Glad you like it!

zelgadis: It will only cause trouble if the muphridians controlling it to do so...

Smarty218: No, I didn't. I have read it, though.

crushedcar: Yes, I think they might be...

manticorefan: Thanks for the comment!

Schulmanator: Well, the police weren't...

Leech10: Hey, characters!

Schulmanator2: Muphridians (and zukes) tend to live to be well over a hundred years old...

zelgadis2: You are welcome!

Smarty2182: I had a feeling people were going to comment on Lauren's age... 3.gif

KingTitan: I'm glad you like it!

Simfan34: Indeed.

gabry85: Thank you for the comment!
