Update 6: Waldon - Another historic Essex town, site of the ancient 'Battle of Waldon'

Welcome to Tendring
A coastal district in the English county of Essex
Tendring is a district located on the north east peninsula in the Essex county of the United Kingdom. Essex was once the ancient Kingdom of the East Saxons, stretching from the southern coast of the North Sea on the east, to beyond London on the west. Today, Essex is much smaller, and is bordered to the west by North East London. This is not a recreation of Tendring, but is a fictional region based on the landscape of Tendring and parts of its neighbouring districts.
Update 6: Waldon - Another historic Essex town, site of the ancient 'Battle of Waldon'

In another far corner of Tendring...

...lies the rural town of Waldon.

Nearby this settlement, a famous battle once took place in which the Anglo-Saxons were defeated by a fearsome Viking invasion.

A small square and statue were later built to commemorate Beordurran, who perished in lead of the defence.
