Trivia:
On October 15, 2018, Jake Thomas Patterson abducted American 13-year-old Jayme Lynn Closs from her family's home in Barron, Wisconsin. The attack took place at 12:53 a.m after he forced his way inside and fatally shot her parents. Patterson took Closs to a house 70 miles away in rural Gordon, Wisconsin, and held her in captivity for 88 days until she escaped on January 10, 2019.
Bay City

Black River Falls

Black River Falls is a city in and the county seat of Jackson County.
Trivia: Black River Falls is the focus of Michael Lesy's book Wisconsin Death Trip (1973), which used photographs and newspaper cuttings to highlight the harshness of life in the community during the late nineteenth century and the effects it had on the psychology of the inhabitants. The book was made into a film in 1999, which included scenes from the community as it appeared then.

Bloomer

Trivia: Bloomer hosts an annual jump rope competition and has been called the "jump rope capital of the world", a title it earned after being featured on national television.
