Vacations

October 30th, 0165AL (2021)

Brian walked over to where Brad was sitting between Lana and Ayura, and as he got closer, he saw that Brad had a hand resting on both of their necks, and the three of them appeared to be asleep. However, when Brian stopped in front of them, they immediately woke up.

Lana: Hello! Can you understand me?

Brian: Yes, but how did you--

Brad: I taught her.

Ayura: And I helped.

Lana: Oh! Look!

They looked out of the skylights to see that they had arrived at the supergate, and while the supergate looked just as it did before, the vastly different view looking though the supergate as opposed to looking around it showed that it was certainly active. As they passed though it, the view of the planet Parel disappeared, to be replaced with a view of the now much more distant Milky Way Galaxy.

It wasn't long before they were already though the supergate an approaching a second, larger one.

Lana: Another one?

Ayura: I think this is one of the newer ones.

Lana: We're here already?

Brian: Indeed... we got here a lot quicker than you would think, traveling between galaxies and all.

A Yanar Class runabout, the planet Sarim, Milky Way Galaxy

Vala: I'm picking up a communication... its from DPM-2, audio only.

Jadzia: Put them though.

A somewhat staticy communication soon became audible.

Brad: We've arrived at Antacar.

Daniel: Already?

Ayura: Yes, supergate travel is much faster than wapbervklex or hyperspace travel. The transmission is a little hard to understand, though.

Jadzia: Well, you are in another galaxy, the subspace communications network really wasn't designed for this type of use.

A particularly loud bit of static interrupted them.

Vala: We're losing the connection!

Lana: Zama!

Bye!

Daniel: Good bye.

The static returned, and this time it became impossible to hear anything else at all, and the connection automatically terminated.

Jadzia: I don't think we'll be able to contact them again until they get back.

Daniel: Yes... now we just need to find a good place to land.

Antacar, SMC

After getting changed, they beamed down to their hotel room, which had the odd appearance of being from the 1800s, but with various devices far more advanced than what they had at home.
