Newbourne is in a bad economical state.

Newbourne is in a very bad state in terms of income and expense by month, and it is getting worse. With a population of just over 23,000, and most of them are high wealth ($$$), we decided that we needed to fund electricity, water, and education services more. Yeah, big mistake. You see, after we funded these services more, the income kept getting lower and lower than the expense, sending the city into a major recession. Currently, the population is under 22,000, with a mix of $, $$, and $$$ residents. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can get out of this recession? Please comment below.

The issue is the fact your city probably doesn't have enough $$$ jobs to satisfy your sims. I personally would increase taxes to about 15-20%, let the sims leave and let the $ and $$ come in.

 

When you see a building being abandon, destroy it so a new one gets built. That way, eventually, you will have all the $$$ out of the city.

 

$$$, in my opinion, should only be welcome when your city is big enough to support their demands, which is great.
