Here is a piece of advice for posting pictures for your city journal.  Host them on an image hosting website and use the direct link to embed them into your entry.  Here's how it works:

Step One: Take desired image of your city (duh).

 

Step Two: Upload image to an image hosting website.  Examples include and are not limited to Photobucket.com, imgur.com, flickr.com, imageshack.com, etc.

 

Step Three: Copy the image's direct link.

 

Step Four: In the update box, above the text, click on the icon that has a tree on it.

 

Step Five: Paste the direct link and press ENTER or click OK.

 

Repeat as necessary!

 

Advantages to this will be that we do not need to click each and every picture to view them in full size, increasing your audience (some don't click on them at all), and also you will not be limited in the amount of images you can post, as you are with attachments directly to the posts here (just don't go TOO crazy).  I hope you find this advice useful!  I look forward to seeing more of your work!  Keep it up!
