HELLO AND WELCOME BACK TO NEW SIMTOWN

In this update I'll show you port New Hope. This port was built (anno) 1777 just one year before the declaration of independence of New Simtown. As many countries New Simtown was British colony (just to inform you: New Simtown is located somewhere between Alaska and Mexiko; fictional place of course!). Not as the United States, New Simtown obtained its independence by a declaration of the United Kingdom due to the hard work of the english settlers; they considered it as a reward.

Naturally there where a lot of trading with european countries like France, Spain or Italia. That's why we have a lot of old ports and port ruins. One of these ruins is located at west of Simopolis: This is Port New Hope.

City stats: -200.000 inhabitants (not the whole city is shown in this update

-Mayor rating 95%

-Unemployment 2%

-(Around 7.000.000 inhabitants--regional)

No more waiting: let's start:

This was the port in 1872. After several years in war with Mexico, only 20% of the port survived:

This is the east side of the port today. We can see some ruins of an old castle:

portnewhope3avr01136604.pngAfter years of proceeding the city of New Hope decided to replace the old port by a new multi-functional port. Some ships where still here (images of the construction are shown in the next three pics):

Some divers have found this sunken ship four months ago:

In front of the new marina we have a beautiful seaside:

Before I'll show you the new marina you'll see some pictures of its construction:

1) Before:

2) After destroying the road due to several holes in the asphalt the construction began:

3) And here's the finished marina at night:

Of course such a city has its CBD, created after the economic boom:

P.S: sorry, but some pictures are still in PNG :( But I'm sure this is not a dramatic problem
