Day X - Fjord of Hope
As of today - everything has changed. The region was hit by the worst cascade of earthquakes remembered by the settlers and the history archives. First two volcanoes appeared out of the blue and what followed, can just be described as utterly destruction for the oldest settlements and neighbouring cities and small local towns...

The appearing volcanoes, the cascades of earthquakes and thousands of the resulting fires ment, that the mayor part of the population died within the first few days.
The surviving parts of the population were devided in two: The mayor part flet the region to saver places and the minor part stayed. That is this minor part, which is important for the future of the region and the rebuilding of the destroyed settlements. The southern parts of the region were luckily just hit with minor earthquakes, leaving the last large settlement intact. All-in-all the population of the Fjord of Hope fell from 750.000 inhabitants to just 80.000 and almost every important piece infrastructure is destroyed - no bridge has survived, all motorways, highways rails and the metro are unusable and all electricity and water supply is gone.
