After years of planning the brand new community of Forrest Glade is being built. Homes range from $205,000 to over $900,000. The highly anticipated building work has seen mostly praise from local Sims as it will benefit surrounding communities with the proposed Glade Mall that will be completed fall 2011.

Local contractors have been hired to carry out the work as this will help boost the local economy. The county lost one of its biggest companies in 2009, "Gannusi Wireless" as its headquarters moved to Lexington, Kentucky.
