Again.. Welcome to Compiègne.

I've destroyed almost all the Maxis buildings and replaced them with the historical France buildings.

I want to say: Take a look at this breathtaking city. 2.gif

That looks absolutely amazing!  However, some of the newer tall buildings look out of place, in my opinion.  In addition, you should not use those partial roundabout things (with the road through the middle), as they can look bad.  Just use a regular intersection :)

It took me a while to realise what was missing to make it look realistic, but I think I found it. I only see the same buildings over and over again for multiple blocks. Granted, this is what old French cities look like, but they also have something you don't have: lots of parks and plazas! Also, you should add some churches, as you see a lot of them in cities IRL like these as well. As for the modern buildings: it does look a bit out of place, because all the medium density buildings are old and the high density are brand new. To add a bit of realism, try to find some modern wall2wall buildings to place in you neighbourhoods. Modern buildingsin these neighbourhoods aren't that strange (just look at Paris with the Montparnasse tower and the Centre Pompidou). Also, the solar power plant seems a bit out of place there, as they'd normally be somewhere without buildings around it.

As for the canals: they look super! Contrary to Houston_Fan, I do like those partial roundabout things.

Oh, another tip: there are W2W police stations and firehouses available on the stex, they would look great in your city!

Looks like I'm very negative, but I'm not! Looks like your having a good start, just want to give some tips to get it to look real. Keep up the good work, I'm curious how this will work out for you!

Good work, but no realistic, french cities have many diagonal streets, and I see a little cemetary too near the round red tower, It's impossible !

Superb european buildings, but it's a shame that this Maxis' high schools ruins all european look. It looks out of place in your CJ.

Thanks for all the great comments guys!
Unfortunately I'm not going to update this CJ because I've switched to Simcity Societies
and I'm not going to play SC4 anymore.  (Well.. maybe some times when I'm bored )
Although, maybe I'll put some pictures from SC4 into Simtropolis.
