How to combine flat garbage reduction with FULL powered plant??

Okay, here's the deal. I am attempting to make a lot that will produce max power when fully funded without any city garbage, yet still burn garbage. To elaborate: The stats of aforementioned power plant include a total power production of 11000, a monthly cost of 1375, and waste to engergy incineration per month of 112,500. It is my wish that when this plant is plopped at full funding, regardless of any garbage information, it will produce the full 11,000. Through this, my most recent lot mod, I have discovered that the name waste to energy plant is literal : i.e. requires near max trash incineration capacity to produce full power. (big DUH on my part). Anyways, I haven't yet found a way to keep the garbage reduction a flat number and keep my full power supply. Setting recycling to 100% and the population served to a large number is not the effect i hope to achieve. Even if this isn't directly possible, it makes me all the more determined to find a way to get it the way I WANT IT!!

In conclusion: Is there a way to "incinerate" garbage without recycling or waste to engergy??

    EDIT:

I'm not very experienced with sim scripting, so if that is involved in the solution, many pointers in the correct direction would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I don't like the way W2E plants are implemented either. Funding only affects the power generated. You can have your W2E plant burning your garbage but generating no power, by setting the funding to zero (costing you no money). Many players use this "technique", which I rather regard as a "cheat".

You can achieve what you want by using gameplay techniques only, just make neighbour deals so that your garbage processing capacity is slightly higher than your production rate. W2E are "high" in the priority list (the way the game distributes garbage), I think the order is Recycling Centeres, W2E Plants and then landfills (I'm not sure about deals), so your W2E will most probably be utilised at 100% of its (incinerating) capacity.

But how do you need a capacity of 112,500 per month? The ingame plant has a capacity of 500 only. Also the cost of 1375 (for such a quantity of garbage and power) is so low, that is actually cheaty. If you have some badly modded lots/BATs (like Cobb) get the stats fix pack by TWrecks.

Also, for a non-power generating incinerator, get my SC3000 Incinerator from the STEX. It contains also a modified version of the Graph Mod, so that you can easily see where your garbage goes every month.

Actually, it is not, you still pay for the garbage trucks - only the trash burning itself is "free". 2.gif

Regarding the original question: Well, it does make sense that the power output related to the garbage amount, doesn't it? If you want to create a power plant which produces the maximum amount of energy all the time, but still has garbage removal capabilities, I suggest to try creating a solar power plant, for instance, and adding recycling center properties afterwards. There's no guarantee that it works, but you could give it a try...

The numbers say 50,000. Thats what my plant is based off.

And you didn't come close to answering my question, you just flamed my idea and stats that I spent hours calculating.

Andreas, thanks for the idea, its a thought, but i mentioned that the recycling methods the game uses runs off population, not actual garbage amount. While this would be a way to have garbage removed with my plant, I would like to get my incineration idea working. Any other thoughts??

The in-game W2E has a capacity of 500 tons of trash per month. The 50,000 number must have different units or is for something else.

Also, did you even read Cogeo's post? He DIRECTLY answered your question:
