Elevated Light Rail - Only Straight?

Before posting this, i tried a thorough search in order not to repost, but wasnt able to find anything related.

I tried building an elevated light rail (the one that connects with GLR), but i can only plop straight rail pieces. This means that i can only lay the elr in a straight line and i dont know how to make it curve.

Any ideas?

Thanx

elevated rail tool can be found in the Misc. Transit Menu. It's a network tool, much like the existing road and highway tools. and it's not the same button as the GLR

To use the El-rail tool, just drag it as you would any other network tool that came with the game.

For the El-rail over road/street, there doesn't currently exist a puzzle piece for curves, you have to transition back to normal el-rail to turn the line.

Thaks for the quick reply, guys.

I think i didnt explain myself clearly enough. I do have the elevated rail tool, i just cant make it turn at all, even over plain terrain. While GLR has the 90 degree turn puzzle piece, ELR only has one straight piece which i can only rotate to go straight North to South or East/west. No turns.

tchaos713: I tried to click and drag just like with any other network tool (road, rail etc), but all that happens is that i plop one staright piece on one tile and and that's it. so unlike other tools, i cannot click and drag... it's really wierd. that's why i assumed there might be a puzzle piece for a turn. but there's not...

Am i missing something? cos i feel like a jerk :-))

don't feel like like a jerk.....

The ELR works the same way as the roads, streets, rails and anything else. You hold the tool and grag it to make straight lines , but you cannot make direct 90 degree turns, if that is what you want. You have to turn 45 degrees twice over 4 tiles to get the 90 degrees, just like the rails. Practice makes perfect.

    Good luck.

hmmm... sounds to me like you're mistaking the EL-Rail tool for something else... i'm not trying to be a jerk, but it is quite easy to mistake one tool for another, especially when the NAM adds on to the alread existing plethora.

so, to put this issue to rest once and for all, which menu do these ELR pieces appear in?
