    Hi everybody,
I've search on the forum to find such a thing, but dont find it anywhere...
So here is my question : is there a way somebody could make UDI enabled parkings and, even better, is there a way to see Jeronij's trail parks (the tarmac version) with UDI enabled ? (it would only be for the fun (except if someone find a good use for them) but its because i love them, and UDI enabled parkings for the great commercials zones would be very very lovely36.gif

Thanks a lot for any response 4.gif

    Most likely not.

You see, in order for a lot to work in UDI mode, it needs to have transit-enabled tiles. These tiles consist of (a) the information which kind of vehicles can go there and in which direction, and (b) standard paths the pedestrians / vehicles will follow.

If you transit-enable a lot for pedestrian and street trafiic, for example, the pedestrians and cars will behave as if there were normal street tiles on the lot, even if the base textures are different.

This has the side-effect that on narrow lots like on those tarmac paths, the cars would not go down the centre of the paths, but a bit offset to the side.

In order for the cars to follow the path that's indicated by the ground texture, you would have to edit custom paths that make the vehicles go exactly along the lines you want them to follow.

Now pathing is a very tedious and work-intensive procedure, and few people have the skills and experience to do so. This is why you are not likely to have your request fulfilled.

In case of simple parking lots, however, it is quite possible, at least as long as the standard paths don't look stupid on the textures the lot maker chose. PEG's alley kit is a good example. You can do similar things yourself pretty easily thanks to the transit-enabling editor that's included in SC4Tool.

As a rule of thumb you could say: Everything that follows the grid can be done easily with SC4tool; everything else is too much work.
