You mean you want skyscrapers? As far as i know, you need 35.000 people living in your city, before residental scyscrapers will develop, and 45.000 commercial jobs, before commercial skyscrapers will develop, so you basically need to build wider, before you build higher . Oh, and if you want skyscrapers, remember to zone high density .

I have another question about skyscrapers.
How high do they actually get.  I have some (res.) with almost 3000 people is that as big as they get or what?

Please provide a picture of your scyscraper if they do get bigger

Before anything else, you might want to search the forum using the keyword "skyscrapers." Your question has been asked before many times.

The highest building in SC4 as far as I know is the Pedriana Pharmaceuticals, a Co

Indeed search around and you'll find tons of info on skyscrappers since getting them is the goal for many people. I would say check out the omnibus but I think it's still down. Now one thing that should be mentioned about skyscrappers is just because you have the population doesn't mean you're going to get them. They're possible at the quite small poplations of 35,000 people and 45,000 Co jobs but that doesn't mean they'll appear. Their is just the chance and that chance is low. The chance of them appearing increases as you grow your region.

The tallest building you can get from anywhere is a recreation of some of the towers of corsucant from the movie star wars. they are taller than a small city tile is wide.

For realistic buildings, I think that the NDEX PanPacific Tower is the tallest.

There is a list of the stage 8 (skyscraper) buildings somewhere here in a thread... it seems that it is kind of random which skyscrapers have what numbers of jobs/residents. The biggest one that SC4 has for residents is something like, 8900? But you can take a big R$$$ building and depress it by reducing desirability, and cram even more R$$ or R$ citizens in it. Based on the amount of drivers even the biggest roads (avenues) can handle, it is probably a good thing that they don't get much bigger.

If I remember right there is a mod to change when skyscrapers appear in your cities. But I don't think the page on simtropolis is up.

You need at least a population of 35,000 for residential and 45,000 for commercial stage 8 (High as buildings get) skyscrapers to appear. You need a-lot of parks and stuff around to increase desirability for skyscrapers to appear that early though, and that rarely happens. Took me 75,000 people before I saw skyscrapers in my cities.

I have question also, this may sound dumb but i'm wondering very much

Does time affect your buildings especially the year? because PEORTH i've seen your pics and the year is 46 so maybe the longer the years, the higher your building is.

am i correct in saying that some skyscrapers also depend on the size of the zone? i remember reading some where that size 8 commerrcial wont grow on a 6x6 tile zone or something and then i remember a mod being uploadeed to the stex to fix this.

The SC4/RH Stage 8 skyscrapers will all grow in a 4x4 tile size or less. It doesn't matter it if it's 6x6 or more since the simulator can take 4x4 tiles from that and grow a Stage 8. The remaining tiles will then grow other buildings. Thus, to get the Stage 8's, make sure you zone in at least 4x4 tiles and high density. If you're downloading growable buildings from the STEX, check out their zoning sizes. They might be larger than 4x4 and thus you need to zone larger to get them.
