Hi and welcome to my BAT Thread. I've been playing SC4 for about 3 months, and I started BATing yesterday. I'm still new to the BAT tool, I've read some tutorials and I'm learing quick.

My first BAT is a Dockyard Crane, I feel the game really needs a larger one, and my docks never look quite right.

Its still in the construction stages, I've done the basic shape of it, still lots to do. This was actually supposed to be a practise one, but I like how its turning out.

Still to do is the detailing (ladders handrails etc), cab, counter weight, etc. I'll have it finished in a couple of days, as I've got tons of time at the moment. And I will have for the next few weeks, so expect lots more9.gif

I'll do one BAT at a time as not to confuse people. Feel free to post what you think etc.

Still lots of detailing to do. As for textures, well I don't know how to texture yet43.gif, I'm waiting for that excellent tutorial by phillippbo to come back online, so I can learn how.

    Thanks for your comments4.gif

About the texturing, well I just need to learn and practise how to apply textures correctly to different bits of the BAT (theres alot of options and check boxes and I've no idea what they do46.gif )

    Edit:

After playing around texturing for an hour and doing a few practise renders I think I've managed the basics of texturing now9.gif

I think I've found the perfect textures to use on this crane:

And heres a link to the crane mines based on:
