I'm logged in, obviously, and have found the Private Message page, but there's no place to actually write the message.  I'm sure I'm missing something here.

You type in the name of the member your sending it to there, push send and a pop up message window will appear.

or simpler, find a post from that member and click on the icon just to the left of the printer up ^^^ (ok, so right of the man with the ! as well). That pulls up the PM window with the user to whom you are sending the PM already established

In the space between the equals sign and the ], you can type some text like Click Here, and whatnot.
