Currently my folder is organized like this Lots/Bats Textures Props Mods Lots/Bats folder is filled with sub folders organized by authors. So I'll have a simgoober, prepo, Vanderaap, JTportland folder ..... How do other people organize their folders? Is my method wise? Does folder organization effect game play as far as which buildings grow?

At startup, the game walks the whole plugins structure and loads everything into memory. You can organize this in any way that pleases you.

One problem will be with the BAT's Plugin Manager. It only loads from the main level of the plugins directory. Anything you export from the BAT should be here until you have completed assignment of proerties and are ready to create a lot. When this is done, move the files wherever you like, but be prepared to move files back to work on them.

I have folders for my lots (ones I create) and ones I download ... that way I can find my stuff at the click of a mouse ... now all I have to remember is to make sure I backup descriptions, images etc., rather than delete them when I upload a lot. I only tend to keep two things in the root Plugins folder ... the files I am working on and bldgprop_vol1.dat ... other than that it's a clear area 9.gif
