Jason, you mean just the contrast at the bottom or the contrast in general? Wouldn't the latter make that not really looking like concrete (too dark)?

Andreas, does this look like "plastic" (or youre talking generally, ie sth to be avoided)? Actually almost all comments I received so far were that the textures were "too grainy".

I searched again but couldn't find any more details to add, except maybe some piping on the roof (connecting those vents), as well as pipes between this building and the nuclear building and powerlines outlets, but these are both to be batted together with some other buildings (or as separate BAT/Props). Indeed, this building (turbine hall) and the water circulation building (BATted first) have the fewest details amongst all buildings (this is also the case with the older units). The nuclear island and the (two) diesel generators (left and right) have the most.

Oh, I was speaking generally; sorry for the confusion. What I meant was that if a texture is completely structureless (as if no texture was applied at all), it looks too artificial (or like plastic). Your latest example with the refined concrete texture looked very nice, though. 4.gif

Maybe you could actually make the concrete brighter, and that would provide some contrast.  I mean contrast in general.  Increasing the contrast between the red and grey could make things look better.  Right now it looks very drab and bland and flat and bla, and it's on a very large surface.

Do you know if the concrete is all one "block" or does it have any divisions that you could include as lines, to add more detail with?  You can also invent details, but that's up to you (depending on how much of a recreation you want it to be).
