Looking for a job

hmm....Well I worked for about 3 months and I basicly quit because I'd be losing sleep if I worked from 4pm to 4am and went to school all in the same day...

would that be two hours of sleep in between work and school? how insane.....

but yeah I worked long shifts and was paid about $5 an hour which is about $2 lower then minimuim wage....or wait...hmm yeah it was $4.20 an hour I belive...

So I worked there during the summer and I actaully liked my job...I worked on the phones mostly giving "customer service",but sometimes I'd get one drunk or crackhead and I'd cuss them out so quick....

Hmm so yeah I got paid less then average and worked a 12 hour shift and dealt with unfavorable people, but do I have a job today?

oh course not....which is why I'm poor....lol

So if any wealthy people of ST would like to hire me to cuss out crackheads or clean your house.....then I shall do it less then it'd normally be.....

I've been fired from and quit more jobs than I'd care to mention, even been incarcerated in a jail on Crete thanks to my job (I was a journalist in the wrong place with a camera taking pictures) ... was kinda fun being deported though 9.gif

Now, at the ripe old age of *** ... and you thought I was going to tell you that 3.gif ... I work from home about 3 months of the year, and have the rest of the time to myself 9.gif And before you ask, what I do is perfectly legal! lol For the past ten years ... wait, make that eleven years ... I have been a full time writer producing books on myth, legend and folklore with my ninth book out in July of this year. It's not the best paid profession in the world writing non-fiction books, but as long as I keep the roof over my head and pay my bills, I'm a happy bunny 9.gif

I know all too well about the low wages in eastern Europe and the former USSR as my fiancee is Russian. When I told her what I spend on electricity in a month she went bonkers as I spend more on power than she earns! But then nobody could ever say that living in the UK was cheap! Well, not unless you are Richard Branson lol

I doubt there are these in Russia, but I worked 2 years ago in a Costco Wholesale distribution center (it was looking exactly like the one Simgoober made). The minimum wage in any Costco is 9 CAN$/hours, whatever your job is, and after 3 months you get automaticly raised at 10 CAN$/hours. You also get a free membership. The offer pretty good conditions compared to other jobs in similar places.

I need to get a new job. The one I'm at is really getting to me. Although I did just get a $1 an hour raise. lol.

psteverific - Glad to hear about your new job.  One thought I have is that you would probably not have found the new job unless you went through what you did at the old job.  Some would say that it's just God looking out for you and some would say it's karma, but the bottom line is it's the old owner's loss and the new owner's gain and your the beneficiary.  Congratulations. 10.gif

gggg - Hang in there. Keep your eyes and ears open and something good will happen.
