Hmm This may post 2 times.

Once agian Tighs wife is a dumm arse.

I kinda figured they wouldnt  be able to keep the  Cyhum kid secret for very long.

and with 2 of them now i dont think one will make it off new caprica.

I have question for  those who were in the MIlitary or are History buffs.

The little ritual they did with the line of salt to join the crews together, is that something that is a genuine ritual either currently or historically?

I know salt was very  important for armys in the field before C-rations and such  just wondering if they mad that bit up or it those kinds of things realy happened.

I can hardly wait to see an answer on that one EB.  It won't be me 'cause I don't know either.

Yeah it looks like they're going to make an issue out of the cyhum young'un, if at least to promote suspense w/in the characters.  For instance, how long will Boomer stay true to the humans now that she has heard about the baby?    I'm also curious about Starbuck's(?) child.

You know something else odd that dangled in my mind & stuck (probably showing that I really am true blue S/F-Fantasy geek), it felt odd listening to the Lucy Lawless, formerly Xena Warrior Princess, talk about Hera except as a Cylon in this show.  The creators are clever enough where I could easily see them doing that as an inside joke.

I kind of hope that Ellen Tighe finally gets hers.  She has gotten on my nerves long enough.

EDIT: Warning!!! Here be the spoilers!

That episode was truly breath-taking. It had to be the best episode of the season! Phew, the shock on Starbuck's face when she found out the "truth" was so stunning. When those Silons were hit by that debris from the Pegasus I was like "Yeah! Take that you machine scum!" 3.gif

WOW is all i can say.

They realy messed with Starbucks head there, then again I totaly bought into that the kid was hers. But i think she will be OK especialy since i think she only told him that so she could get him close to knife him one more time ( for old times sake), and to get the kid away from them.

But now the Cylons have the  real cyhum kid, i wonder why Baltar didnt just shoot her and take the kid, by the time a nother one could get there to set off the bomb( if there ever realy was one), every one would be long gone and there would be no point in wasting ordinece.

Cant belive they( the writers) blew up the Pegasus, they were mauling those Basestars, and should have taken 2 of them out right away, then  fought till they could both Jump away.

Did Tigh posioned his wife?( not that she didnt have it coming). so expect him to crawl

    back into a bottle.

Have to wonder about the guys they assigend to watch the kid, were they members of the

NCP? ( guess we may find out next week, someone has a list 49.gif 2.gif

Back to Political Intrigue. I knew it wouldnt take long.

Although i think Mrs Pres did a lot to diffuse the whole situation by basicly pardoning them all. which could backfire on her if baltar shows back up.

Wonder ifshe will still let the terrorist guy be VP?

Poor baltar still a pawn but now he knows hes traped.

and Starbuck is back to her warrior ***** mode, butill bet that her husband becomes a viper pilot.

Seems Apollo  lost 1/2 a stone jumping  rope.

Must have been painfull get one of your stones caught in a rope.

Probably should have worn a cup. 46.gif

You know last week it finally occurred to me who the out of shape Apollo reminds of, especially after talking like he has marbles in his mouth:  Sylvester Stallone!  I even think he resembles him!  Again I don't put anything past this show to be coincidental in terms of what they want their audience to think!

Perhaps the producers of Galatica will make an episode called Rocky. 9.gif

In all seriousness, that was another excellent episode. I must admit, these past few episodes have been a hit! Right now, I'm wondering the same thing... I wonder if the president's idea to pardon them was a good idea. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the people that she pardoned turns out to be a silon. Baltar is in an interesting situation... perhaps we will finally see the inside of those mega ships.

Due to a break down of VCR I missed recording Galactica.
    Till monday.

However i also missed  Pt 2 of  The Cybermen Dr Who which  is not being rerun this week. 7.gif26.gif

and my chances of seeing it are slim if they follow last season and not rerun the series again.

You asked for it  EB! 3.gif  :

I'm finding episodes about the inner workings of the Cylons, esp. the Cyhums, to be more fascinating than the regular human intrigues w/in the Galactica!  I'm eager to find out more about "projection" and how it affects their psyches.

With this episode I'm still sticking back to my way back crazy theory that Baltar may not only be a Cylon but may actually be their creator, perhaps a later version Cylon-like version of himself (I told you it was a crazy theory!)

I'm not sure I could get used to "Boomer" now as "Athena".  The copies of copies really aren't alike I guess

Starbuck and Tighe continue to really get on my nerves.  Their self-pitying I understand; their stupidity on the otherhand...  Thanks to Adama's intervention, it did look like Kara may finally be on the road to recovery;  I'd be all for a renewed camaraderie between her and Apollo again.  My gut tell me that Tighe's end, on the otherhand, may be near.

And of course there's the teaser for next week...

I never thought about Baltar like that but it does kinda of make sense if he did create them.

But why  would 1/2 of them hate him?  he did lie to them about what he saw

in the baseship. Was it a human set trap for them? or something the

galactica crew did? or another  Human colony that knows about The Cylons

    set the probe there.

Interesting there are 5  Cyhumes we havent seen yet too.the base ships being

human CPU run is very Babylon 5. And i remember hearing one of them refer to themselves

as Human Cylons. I loved the Piany music they were playing  during Baltars alone time.

Starbuck looks to be getting back on track. Tigh has supprized me before, just when you

think hes going to stay in the bottle he crawls out again.

All in all a great episode, learning more about the cylons is a definate Plus.

This time I found the projection thing among the Cylons a little more confusing. It looked like Lucy Lawless's character was thinking that Baltar had developed a crush on her while he was going delusional and talking to #6in his mind under torture. Well that's what he gets....

How the humans dealt with the possibility of genocide of the Cylons while still recovering from their own pain inflicted on them was another classic BSG sociological case study. Despite Roslyn's amnesty of the collaborators, there was still a class hierarchy playing out between those on the Battle Stars and those on New Caprica ranging from the tortured to the collaborators during the Cylon occupation.

Meanwhile Starbuck is starting to look sexy again with her hair cut and back in uniform!9.gif

Another interesting thing would be that Athena is immune to that plauge because of the child probably means the chile is imune as well, and a possible cure since  her blood did cure the prez's cancer last season.

Starbuck will be ok, but Tigh im not sure about.

Baltar will ummm  Engage the  Lucy Lawless cylon. count on it.

Well, I just saw last weeks episode finally after I watched it on the video that I recored the episode on. It was another great episode. I would have to agree with EB here... it would appear that the child is the cure for the Cylons.

11/17/06 episode-Bulldog returns -This one pretty much stayed on the Galactica. Again another essay about man's vulnerabilities and perserverance.  Of course I'm not sure that I really saw a good explanation of how the Cylons found Galactica and just let Bulldog go alone.

It looks like Tighe is not out for the count afterall. As much as the character really gets on my nerves, Paul Hogan is really a good actor.

The Bulldog episode was really great! But, it does sort of seem like a 'filler' episode. However, it also seemed like Tigh was really sort of a hero in this episode which I believe is the main reason for this episode... to show that Tigh and Adama are becoming friends again.

One thing that struck me odd... Why was Starbuck looking at the tape of Bulldog being chased by the Cylons anyway?

    Cause She was suspicious.

It did seem to be a filler episode like the  one last season were they were chasing the scarface cylon ship. next weeks looks to be that way too.

I realy would like to know where the kid went to, not been seen since the Exodus.

Tigh is back again, and Bulldog may still be a cylon plant, they have had him for 3 years.

He may even  be a 2007 model cylon with the Turbo engine, blue racing stripes and 24 inch Gold  wheels.

I doubt Bulldog is a plant, he wouldn't have gone  after Adama the way he did if he was a Cylon.

Was that one badass looking eyepatch on Tigh or what?

    *Here be the spoilers*

Starbuck: "Well, that just made things a little bit more complicated"  18.gif

That has to have been one of the best qoutes on Galatica! 9.gif

Anyway, I'm not sure if I would exactly call this a filler episode, but it sure did add a lot to the personal-relationship storyline. Talk about an emotionally charged episode. It will be interesting to see where this relationship takes us. For some odd reason, I have a feeling that there will be a few divorces in the near future. 34.gif
