new virus - question

according to symantec, which puts out norton antivirus, this worm was detected and protection/detection was distributed on jan 17 of this year.  if you have norton and youve updated since then, you have nothing to worry about

i doubt that the virus is a real threat to people who have virus protection and who dont watch porn. Simple, get a virus protection program and dont watch porn. Also, dont open mail thats in your Bulk or Spam folder.

People don't 'release' viruses.  They appear by suprise.  There is not fixed date.  If a group were to announce a date for releasing a virus they would be arrested and sent to your home.

You should probably back up your whole hard drive, because I think there are some 'hidden' files that may make it impossilble for you to get anything to work again.  I'm sorry, I just can't keep from laughing.  I'm so 'helpful'

I'm sorry you found us offensive.  However, we were just amused at the thought of a virus doing something to your computer at Midnight.  Norton, Norman, AVG Antivirus, or another brand surely had the updates to detect if you had a virus on your computer.  No Virus can just misteriously appear on your computer at midnight and delete your files.  (Provided you are firewalled, as someone could hack into your computer and place a virus, but that would be stupid because they could just deleted everything during the hack).  You get viruses by download files from the internet, thru email or a website.   Mostly strange emails (that you don't understand, just deleted them) and free porn sites (I don't know why) and thru illegal software (you got what you deserved)

now on the Subject of viruses....I still can't seem to find a way to remove those darn viruses from the Simtropolis Virus incident last year...I still have 8 viruses that simply wont remove...thankfully I haven't seen any damage from them....but they are just sitting there driving me nuts that the anti virus picks them up but doesn't do anything to them....I think I may just remove them myself then check to see if java works ok and if it doesn't I'll reinstall it.
