Krillin: Your city looks good. But , isnt the Eli Lilly International Headquarters ALOT bigger building then what you have ? What did you use for Union Station. Also , what year is it in your city it looks as if you dont have the Bank 1 or any of the newer buildings.

Dragon: Yea the Eli Lilly HQ is a whol lot bigger than that. I just don't have a building that looks anything like it. I just used the 2 research centers provided in the game as they provide the closest function to the Eli Lilly Center.

For union station, I used a passenger station that i picked up on the STEX(can't remember who made it- sorry to whomever made- I give them credit).  The real Union Station is actually on top of meridian st. just north of south street.

The year of the city is around 90 or so. I havent put in any modern buildings yet because my region can't support them yet. I am also having a hard time putting in the Bank One Tower because it seems too tall for the scale of region i am using.  If you or anyone else can find an accurate scale map, that would be awesome!

Edit:  I would also like to point out that I pretty much just eyeballed the whole thing. so in general it is similar, but no where near exact.

Krillin:Yeah The Bank 1 tower is alot taller then the real thing. The tower is around 1000 feet in the game I scaled it to the Sears tower.

The region shot and attention to detail is impressive. It looks just like Indy would look like on a map.  Reminds me of when I visited Indy six years ago. Can't wait to see what the city looks like when the skyline starts to pop up.1.gif

    ATTENTION!!!

The CJ isnt dead. I went downtown to get some inspiration for it. I took some pictures and am getting some maps to make it accurate.

After steeping back for a while I realized that tons of my measurments were off. I could bore you with the math but I won't. So I had to pretty much start over, don't worry it won't take as long the second time around. But I am glad I found these before I released because it would have looked pretty bad.

You probably won't be able to find a scale map. What I did for Chicago was to get a map of the Loop, count the blocks from the lake to the river, and base my measurements off that.

I set 6x6 as the standard block size, and I counted 13 blocks, to that's 13 x 6, +14 for the streets. I then used Photoshop to size the entire region according to that.

It took a lot of work (4 days' worth of free time) but it was worth it: starting from the Chicago map on the STEX, I scaled it up 137%.

So scaling up an existing map is probably the best way to go.

I would love to see Riley Towers built.  I have searched for it and came up empty.  I assume no one has tackled these buildings yet.  Indianapolis is a great city and I can't wait to see more of this!
