In-game Pop-up Message Question

    Hello

    I was wondering, is it possible to trigger another in-game pop-up message when you click on a link on another pop-up message?

    well if I'm understanding you correctly...your talking about the advisor pop messages...if this is so...I belive you just might be running into the area where you active several pop up windows at the same time, eg having a sudden growth in populations can trigger a few different reward building being  accessable to polp at one time, or alet messages

     
    eg...you populations rises quickly triggering  a mayor statue reward, and the stadium reward, while at the same time making your school and health coverage under funded and/or water and power shortages, but only 1 pop up advisor window can appear at one time on the screen and as soon as you close  or respond to it, the rest next one  right afterwards...in random order making it seem they are triggering each other
     
    ps...there are a few rewards that as soon as you place them, it may allow you to plop another type of reward..eg, you plop the city hall reward, and bam your now have the court house reward available pop up right away
     
    if this is what is happening...and i believe that is what is happen....happens to me all the time.   i just pause the game and deal with the popups til there are no more appearing and them continue to play normally

    I think that was not what I was looking for. Let me explain a bit more detail.

    I was thinking of making a project that when you click on a link of a pop-up message, a another one appears, telling you the effects of a desicion like this:

    The temple of Asclepius gave you a good nights sleep. You wake up feeling a bit better. If you can afford time off work to go and get some fresh air, Click here. If you can't choose another healer, so you can get back to work and earn money.

    A player clicks 'Click here', and another advisor pop-up appears saying:

    The symptons have dissapeared and you have recovered.

    You know, I'm not sure either.

    What I can tell you is its very unlikely that you could do it with a button(infact damn near impossible), but a hyperlink is a different story. LTEXT has some hyperlink capabilities.
     
    If you can, I'd suggest looking at some of the HTML style LTEXTS in your language dat in the main simcity directory. You might be able to find one of them that links, such as the fire messages, strike messeges etc, and you might be able to use that to pull up another window perhaps.
     
    If you dont have any luck, get in contact with someone from the BSC as they do plenty of UI stuff.
     
    Generally speaking though, There's the chance that this will fall under the same category as UI buttons, which are impossible to modify.
