I had this idea a while back with Boggy1, and I decided to set up a thread for it. Basically, we can all create a galaxy with our own planets we made in Photoshop or a 3D modelling program or anyway you may have done it, and colaborate them into one galaxy, aptly named Alpha Simtropauri. So post your planets here, and give a brief description of it. Your planet's may harbour life, and hopefully we can get a large intergalactic society going on, with life developing far enough to interact with other planets. I'll start us off:

Alabine
Alabine is a planet with a landscape of mainly brown rocky outcrops. The planet has a very warm climate. A vast plain of brown rock stretches across the middle of the planet, while the poles are still warm, the mountains are topped with a light layer of snow. Precipitation is very uncommon, only a little snow at the poles is ever experienced. Alabine has no native life, but the climate wouldn't make it unsuitable to live on...

Jeshani
Jeshani is a Gas Giant, with a thin ring of space rocks. Jeshani has four moons, one of which could be inhabited. The planet is mainly made up of argon. The moon that is thought to be inhabited has an atmosphere similar to Earth.

Platomin
A planet made up of deserts and mountain ranges. No life is thought to exsist on the planet, and the atmosphere and high gravity is not thought to be able to sustain life if it was to visit Platomin. Platomin has one moon, which might be able to support life if support systems were supplied.

<ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/muzzplanet04copy.jpg align=baseline>

Rotakine
Rotakine is a planet similar to Earth in appearance and characteristics. A highly developed form of life exsists on Rotakine, Rotas. Rotas are similar to Humans in appearance, but are amphibious creatures which can survive underwater. They have established one language amongst them, and live in communities on the land or underwater.

Lets see your planets that you wish to add to Alpha Simtropauri!

Sounds interesting, here are my planets:

This is basically my CJ planets, with one difference: This is an alternate universe version, without the planet Terra.

Myon
hspace=0http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Myon.JPG align=baseline border=0>
The planet Myon is a largely tropical planet about the same size of Earth with several small oceans located across the planet. The north pole melts every summer to re-freeze during the winter, and the south pole stays frozen year-round. Many different species of trees can be found, as well as various types of exotic lifeforms, 5 of which have evolved the ability to fly at high altitudes with built in jet engines, and one of those creatures has become intelligent, and are called zukes. (Not the same as the zukes in the moose factory) They are about 6 to 7 feet tall, live to around 150 years old, and have a tail 3 to 4 feet long. They are scaly and green, with 6 fingers or 6 toes on each appendage, each ending with a retractable claw. They have colonized most of the planet, and the only place they don't live is the north and south poles. They have not developed space travel yet, but much of the planet has already joined together as a way to end wars. Favorite weapon(for hunting): Crossbow. Another species similar to zukes, called ice zukes, live in the north pole area and are semi-intelligent. They are bigger and white in color, and have a number of primitive settlements. Myon has 1 moon, a large lava world with rocky islands located in a high orbit and having a dense atmosphere.

Punera
hspace=0http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Punera.JPG align=baseline border=0>
Punera is a gas giant, and is about the same in size and makeup to the planet Neptune, only no spots are known to dot its cloudtops. Punera has 4 moons, each of which is a frozen iceball.

Portio
hspace=0http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Portio.JPG align=baseline border=0>
Portio shares Punera's orbit and is located ahead of Punera. It is about the same size as Mars and has a thin atmosphere. Portio has no moons and is rich in minerals.

Puronda
hspace=0http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Puronda.JPG align=baseline border=0>
Puronda also shares Punera's orbit, and is located behind the gas giant. It is a volcanically active world with numerous fissures all over the planet, but it has no atmosphere, and is also about the size of Mars.

Anacata
hspace=0http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Anacata.JPG align=baseline border=0>
Anacata is another gas giant, and it has a blue ring system and 7 moons, each of which are rocky, and range in size from the size of Earth's moon to the size of Mars's moons. Anacata is about the same size as Saturn.

This is a cool idea. Great job on those planets! Can't wait for more people to make more planets.

I found some sites that tell you how you can make a planet using PS in cause anyone needs it.

Making a planet, rock edition
Making a planet, Earth edition

Muzz: How will the planet interactions work once there are enough planets here?

In my Cj I have 14 planets and alot of moons for them so...it'd take to long to cycle through all of them so I'll just show the ones I posted in my Cj.

gaea25ty.jpg
^ this one is Gaea...a highly populated Planet...4th o 14 in the solar system.it has 1 moon and has a basic climate of Earths.it's my personaly favorite planet because of how the water and land set up(mind you for some reason my Cj regions don't follow what the planet actully looks like).
cybele2ig.jpg
^ this is Cybele..the 3rd planet in the solar system with 3 moons.it has connections with Gaea Ecomnicly.It's the members Sea123's planet but if I can't get a hold of him I'll take it and restart everything...
dionysus7vn.jpg
^ this one is Dionysus..hard to pronouce it's the 14th planet in the solar system with a 'firey' moon orbiting it ad it has a Enviermental Shpere dome around it.It has no Owner really unless you count me as the main defualt...

Originaly my Cj was going to be Way differnt...it would basicly be multi player with each player having thier own planet and moons of the planet to play with to play with it...but since it took me so long to get everything up and running after te 3rd rewrite...the 3 other players kinda dropped out.Cheese89 just simply started his own Cj(very good..take a lookie ' Click '),Hammer whent into lurking and RLS,and Seas123 simply hit RLS and never showed up again...so I may try the multi player part again possibly if I want more Variety(I usally will ask a person instead of them asking me usally).

I would have posted thease earlier but I've been trying to cough up all my insides since Sunday, so anyway...

lonegiantplanetversion3jpeg9qf.th.jpg
Aperineia XI
This is a large gas giant planet situated in a solar system of 13 planets. Aperineia is the largest of the planets. Its atmosphere contains mainly hydrogen and helium and methane with trace ammounts of ammonia, water, carbon monoxide and ethane.
The planet is surrounded by a large ring system made up of various ice deposits and rock debri.
Aperineia has 7 moons although only 3 are shown.

planetsarahversion9jpeg7ty.th.jpg
Sarah
Sarah is a medium-terrestrial word located in a small system on the outer edge of the galaxy. The planet boasts a population of 4 billion, and has a rich and vibrant culture.
The planet's atmosphere contains 73% nitrogen, 27% oxygen, variable ammounts of water vapour and trace ammounts of carbon dioxide and methane. The planets surface is 67% liquid.
It has a ring system, which is the destroyed remains of a moon.

Note: Because my screen is like 7 bazillion years out of date, the planets probably appear a bit different to you with nice gleaming new screens.
