  Cr@p  (for contradicting myself), I didn't download it because I am content with what Maxis gave us, and whenever I want a new region I'll always do it peice by peice, and I still haven't figured out how to import greyscales, but I'm trying again, I did it wrong the first time.

 

P.S. don't click on that link. it opens up Microsoft outlook and lets you e-mail a certian Cr at P and Barbyw, if the monkeys memorized it, then yes.

Anywho those prop packs are always scattered about making it ever so harder to find those damn dependancies in the first place....thus is why so many complain of that box prob that we have all had at one point or another....

 

I think we need to group up the prop into groups or pages or something....Anything is better then looking through every page in the STEX...

My Suggestion to all BATters, Lotters, Mappers etc. is to open up a Showacse thread so we can see what they're making. We can then advise them on what to do to make it better before they upload it to the STEX

well this was my rant and I hope some of you out there realize that I'm not standing up for myself or for the BATing,Maping,Loting community....

 

I do this for all newbs as I feel it is my personal duty to defend them from ingnorant people who want to throw them into a catagory of age and skills and talent.....

And more often than not - those that DO make harsh comments as safe sitting behind thier computer screen that DADDY bought for them roflmao - sorry people but I left primary school a long long time ago - but this is bringing back memories of pulling pigtails in the school yard - ah happy days

 

Oh and btw Cjah - I wouldnt have a clue where to start making a BAT, or a lot, or a mod, or a texture - and according to some I aint much good at making maps either - I must have dreamed the 6703 downloads in just over 2 months with an average download rate of 1 in 2.74 ...............................  Thats pretty damn good for a NEWB !!!!!!! I may be old enough to remember the 60's buddy - but I am still a NEWB here - so that throws your arguement straight out the window !!!!

Ive just been reading this entire thread for the last 10 min. It's very debative and interesting. Butmy self I must diagree with some of you. I think that if you do not like anything such as a CJ, or BAT your just go on about how much you hate it you tell the person what you don't like about it and tell them what they could do to fix it. They fix it they may not. But if they don't don't go bashing them again because they don't have to please your every want. In other words there not your slave and don't have to follow your advice because it's there Thing not YOURS!

Another thing. I think the rating system should be altered a bit. I think BATS should stay unless really there is only 2 downloads in a year. But Posts should be based on views if it has at least 200 views a month it should stay if not it should be deleted unless it is a CJ. That should stay because it's someone's work.

Also I think that thing about young people not being any good...that's just mean! There are people who are 6 years old who are great at a lot of different tihngs like piano or academics. First time BATers should not be expected to creat excellent buildings for maybe their first 10 BATS. Just expressing MY views.

Oh yeah and by the looks of the posts from delboysim they seem really rude and unessacary.
