Oh yeah that's possible too... my fault 5.gif
I did notice a couple things about the DS that could and should be changed, though.
I think the screens on the DS are way too small 11.gif. If we were to stretch out the speakers vertically and change the 4 button arangement from this:
                                                                                      o
                                                                                   o     o
    to this: o                                                                      o
               o
               o
               o

Both screens could be widened if those 2 things were done, couldn't they?

That would probably be a little diffucult to use with the buttons arranged that way.  And they would still have to widen the whole thing a little most likely.  And having those two big screens would put a hurt on the battery life.  Although I could live with that, but others might not.  The PSP battery life is just over half the DS and it only has one screen.

Really the only thing I would have liked on it that isn't, is an analog nub.  Controlling 3D games with a d-pad can be a little frustrating sometimes.  Takes a while to get the hang of it.

I don't understand how people could like the PSP as a gaming machine. It's just a portable PS2. Why not just play your PS2 then? I like the DS because it gives a new experience you can't get anywhere else.

What do you mean 'not practical? Have you even played it? DS will not become an afterthought. DS sales are already higher than expected. EBgames and Gamestop had to stop taking preorders a few weeks ago because they sold out. It won't be long before the next shipment is sold out also.

Right now the DS game lineup is admittedly not really too great. I do recommend Super Mario 64 DS. It is much more than the original. Lots of mini-games have also been added that can entertain you for hours by themselves. I'm sure in the upcoming months and by the end of next year we will see many great games that take advantage of the unique capabilities of the DS. Imagine the games you could play on it that you would never be able to play on a console or GBA. Games that normally are for the computer, like Simcity, or others that really need a mouse to enjoy, could be put onto the DS. Rollercoaster Tycoon DS maybe???

As for Xbox and PS2.  There is nothing special about them besides graphics.  Woopee.  The characters are slightly less blocky.  That really makes me buy a game.  21.gif  Nintendo has something special coming next year for it's new console that will supposedly change consoles.  A 'Revolution'.

That is the most stupid thing I've ever heard...The DS sucks. Give us evidence and maybe someone will support you. You have given nothing to prove your opinion so as you stand now you are making an unsupported statement that can not be considered. You have no facts, no figures and no reasons why you think this. Until you can get enough evidence you remain with a pointless statement, so take your PSP rules to the PSP thread. Why post it here when all you are doing is upsetting people. This thread is for those who like the DS and want to speak about it and how it satisfies their gaming needs. They can discuss games here. And then you come in telling everyone that the DS is rubbish with no evidence and therefore make a fool of yourself and disrupt everyone else. If you want to bash the DS do it in a PSP thread and not in a thread full of people who may be offended by that. Saying no offense doesn't make it any less offending to us who have spent a good amount of money on a console that we felt we wanted and enjoy playing.

Please leave Nintendoids alone in Nintendoid threads.

maybe eventually when they're cheaper, I'll get one....

I've played with my cousin's DS, and, after getting used to the GBA, it feels really weird in the hands. But it still has the issue of having your hands start to go numb after playing it for a few hours.
Actually, I think a portable game system would work much better if you designed it more to fit the hands comfortably, like a Gamecube or PS2 Controller, only with a screen in the middle. My hands never go numb holding those....

The only real reason I could thik up agianst this would be that a portable game system is more portable if it has six flat sides in storage postion, to slip into a pocket nicely. A DS slips into a pocket much more neatly than a Gamecube controller (imagine it without the cord). Still, I'd rather have it be more comfortable to hold than fuss over how neatly it fits in my pocket.

If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.
If you can read this, you deserve a cookie.
