Problem Setting Custom Resolution for SimCity 4 with Origin

Hello! I recently reinstalled SimCity 4 from my Origin account today after not playing for about 5 years. I used to have a custom resolution for the game that worked perfectly but now, with the same commands under the target in the properties of my shortcut, it fails to work completely. It is killling me trying to figure out what is wrong with this. Is there a new way to set a custom resolution that I am unaware of? The one difference that I noticed from 5 years ago is that now, when I click the SimCity 4 shortcut to play the game, it first takes me to Origin to start the game in there instead. I wonder if this is part of the issue because it used to just start the game up without the Origin junk. Any help much appreciated!

Indeed, the commands placed into the shortcut will only be executed by Windows, if that shortcut runs the actual program. When a launcher is involved, such as Origin, you must instead add these "Launch Options" there instead, the option should look like this:

Don't forget to add all your commands there, you'll probably want to at least add -CPUCount:1 -Intro:off to the custom resolution command.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
