Hello, I was wondering if anyone would be willing and able to create some lava and scorched earth smoke plops?  I am working a a custom made map of middle earth and Mordor just does not look right all nice and green/brown and dirty industry can only make it so ugly. Needs to be blacker! lol I have seen variations of these 3 things in different things but not together with matching textures and what not.

I was hoping to have 3 different 1x1 plop. Scorched earth, static lava and live smoke. Anyone out there willing to undertake this project?

Hi @hoyane

I can't create these thing for you. But In an effort to help you make your cities look a little bit more Mordor-esque(?) I can give you links to some custom content that might interest you:

Hope some of this will help!

Thanks for the recommendations. I meant to say the background ones would not work as Mordor is but a small piece of the map and other parts would not look right with lava backgrounds.

    Middle Earth.png

The Lava Lake seems to be broken or I'm missing something as it seems raised above ground, the lake is cut off on the edge and the lot space seems too big for the building as I cant place something right beside two of the sides. The rock and lava texture on it is awesome though. I wish I could get at those as i know how to use lot editor a little and could make my own. But as they are part of the building and not a texture I cant access it with lot editor. Too bad though cause it looks cool.

The texture brushes do not save. so that's a bummer.

The cutaway texture mod is cool and I will use as well as the steam lots.

I am also using lot editor trying to use the smoke and smog props from the game to make my own lots but there are no sufficient dark/black rock textures to use or lava for that matter. If I can get textures to use in lot editor I could make lots that would look pretty cool to cover my entire mountain and surrounding ranges. My searches for lava or black rock textures return limited useful results.

I've looked a little into using gmax and trying to reverse engineer the lake mod to get the textures out to ultimately use in lot editor but that is too far down the rabbit hole for me.

Any further recommendations by anyone are appreciated.

Sorry about the image only post. It would not let me type or edit and add type. It is intended to be in this post regarding any of the background recommendations.
-CB Edit: No worries, I've merged both posts for you!

Yea, I thought the Lava Lake was a bit of a pain, having to dig a trench to plop it. The closest you'll get to black anything, that I've found is black sand. Not sure which of these it's in with, though, but happy hunting.
