I installed a lot of custom content and Im not happy with it.  I want to start again but whenever I uninstall the game and reinstall it, the custom content is still there.  How do I remove it?

Simply delete the SimCity 4 folder found in your Documents folder - that is where your custom content is found...

You probably deleted the wrong folder. There are two of each of several things, one with the installation (program files) and one personal (my documents). You need to hunt down the personal folder because that's not removed when uninstalling. Its exact location depends on your OS and version of the game.

It's always recomended to demolish every instance of custom content in-game before removing the items from your plugins folder

Oh that's what Hejhog meant (maybe). I thought the custom content "in game" meant still visible in menus.

Hey wait a second... If plugins had been properly deleted, then wouldn't custom objects at least have devolved into empty lots, brown boxes, and non-overridden values? Maybe we need some clarification of exactly what is happening here before we can opine as to cause. We've been down a rabbit hole like this before only to learn late that the OP had customized an SC4 directory and installed multiple versions of the game (and multiple versions of NAM) on the same computer with incomplete clean up in between.

To fully analyze an incomplete clean-up, one needs to see relevant folder structure and a picture of what's "in-game" that shouldn't be there. @hejhog45: As a start, please rename your plugins folder (it just has to become something that SC4 won't use). Then run the the game, enter the city, and take a picture of the offending content (don't save the affected city). Show us the picture and tell us what doesn't belong in it.

PS: I'd also like to know the full path to your plugins folder.
