NOTE: I have searched for this topic, I've see some questions but no definitive answers... but I just hope... 22.gif

Ok normally this wouldn't bother me, but I want to start taking pictures for a future CJ...

    I decided to set :
    - the 6 graphics options all to high
    - hardware renderering
    - 32-bit color
    - waves
    - UI translucency
    - 1024x768

    but:
    - no clouds
    - no variable speed automata
    - no color cursor

Everytime I exit to see if these settings make it look better, I don't see a change... in fact, I check the visual preferences panel and they've all reverted back to Default.

I remember when I first started to play the game I turned up most of the graphics options but when I got good and my cities got big I turned it down to default (what my computer recommended).

Details: I'm running Rush Hour, with all the latest updates, on a Intel Pentium 4 2.00 Ghz with 512 RAM, Mobility M6 w/32MB, 1024MB virtual memory, total hard drive capacity: a sad 38 gigs.

How do you figure out your virtual memory and graphics card? 34.gif  I'm in My Computer -> Properties, but I can't find it all... 41.gif

To figure out what graphics card you have and how much memory it has:

    1. Right-Click on your Desktop
    2. Click on Properties
    3. Click on the Settings tab
    4. Click the Advanced button
    5. Click on the Adapter tab
Here is displayed all the information about your graphics card. Memory size is how much memory the graphics card has on it.

To figure out how much virtual memory you have:

    1. Right-click on My Computer and go to Properties
    2. Click on the Advanced tab
    3. Click the Settings button under Performance
    4. Click the Advance tab
    5. Virtual memory is listed in the third box, as Total pagin file size.
To change this setting, click on the Change button. I recommend having at least double your RAM for paging file.

I hope that helped. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to post!
