Activating Transit Supermod?

Well, after updating to Rush Hour and finding that it set automata lifespans to, uh... whatever's one step up from removing them completely, I went to search for a solution. TS looks like it fixes it, by setting the min/max lifespan on pedestriants to 255/255. However, after I dropped the dat file in the plugins folder in c:\program files\maxis\sim city 4, nothing really... happened. Automate still dissapear too fast, and... well, yeah. Do I need to do anything else to get this mod *running?*

i suggest not using the Transit Supermod but instead using the NAM. the NAM contains the modifications made by the Transit Supermod plus a whole lot more. The two mods aren't compatible, so use only one or the other.

The NAM is definitly a much betterc choice. It has loads of other features as well, and it will really inprove your game.

Ah, so they're not compatible? That explains it. Well, I'm running both anyway, so thanks. BTW, I assume the instructions for improving automata are in the readme, if they're not on already? If that's not the case, I'll be back with further questioning >:D.

(Why do I keep saying things like that...)

yes, the NAM readme clearly states that no previous transit mods are compatible with it. it goes further and lists them all. but don't feel bad, i too didn't read the readme at first 2.gif

Hm. I'm running the improved automaton thing, but they still have rather short lifespans. Is it just because I have high traffic?
