Surrent: A New Start

This will be a new start for me, of course, but read below...
Surrent will be set in 2010, where political instability under a new emergency dictatorship forced about 20,000 residents of Surrey, UK all members of the Golden Cobras (or dependent children) to move away to a deserted island.
However, the same island has been chosen by international terrorists on the run from Liberty City police as a base, and clashes are bound to happen...
This will have plenty of new characters, and places, but you might get a character going on holiday to Liberty City.

    Table of contents:
UPDATE 1: Page 1 (Introduction to Haselming)
UPDATE 2: Page 1 (Newspaper you would be reading in 2010 if still in Surrey)

Other stuff:
Nothing, just remember to check back here every so often because I will be updating this first post.

    UPDATE 01

We need a greater understanding of the (2010) political situation in the UK, and the occupation of Surrey that caused the Golden Cobras to run away, and everyone else to suffer under General Tuarpra.

Update 3 - on life on the island.

    LIFE OF Joss Walton.

I'm e-mailing my American cousin, Diana Walton. Surrent is still a what you might call a developing country because there isn't that much infrastructure, especially outside Haselming, and the first broadband internet was launched yesterday and I just got it installed. Sattelite broadband, though. All the cell phones are sattelite ones as well, because there aren't any phone masts here. They have to get specially adapted before they will work.
Haselming is a massive building site. Everywhere else is wilderness. About 22,000 people live here now. Soon we will become the Republic of Surrent, once the government buildings have been finished.
