How do I make neighbor connections with GLR?

I've been making cities with the GLR but it really sucks when I have to try to figure out what to do when I get to the edge of a city and need to create a neighbor connection. If anyone knows a simple solution, please tell me. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are most likely going to need to transition to one of the default transits to make the connection.

I have had the same dilemma. What I've decided to do rather than transition to elevated so that there are 7 really ugly tiles is to use the NDEX GLRtoSubway Transition and just transtion to subway for a few tiles at the edge of each city.

Hope that helps.

Oh, Welcome to Simtropolis!!!

with GLR u should be able to just drag it to the city u wanna connect it to. i would imagine, unless im thinking of something different.

no glr cant be dragged, it is plopped tile by tile, u have to connect it to another draggable transit option (rail, el rail, subway) to make a neighbor connection.

when u say GLR i think ground light rail, which is what it stands for, but i thought that, that means a normal railroad tile which can be dragged. sorry for the mistake

There is a lot of confusion when it comes to rail systems, because of the slang terms used.  GLR is the game default elevated rail on the ground, both of which are part of the subway system.  The default elevated rail is often refered to as El rail.  GLR is part of the NAM, and are puzzle pieces.  Now there is an elevated rail with NAM, and is also puzzle pieces, it is part of the default railroad system.  These two systems are not interchangeable.

There maybe a devolopmen on the way, where you can drag your 'grounded elevated rail' ~ glr and there probaly make neighbor connections with it.

btw: there are a thread for question like this one: Ground Lightrail MOD - support
