Terrain "stack" appears from nowhere

Where did this come from? How might I get rid of it?

In a previous game many moons ago, I also remember having a hole in the terrain I couldn't level out, but it was close enough to the edge to use the reconcile tool (destroying half the city, including areas nowhere near the edge, in the process). This is too far into the city tile.

that is quite odd, is it an actual 3D piece of terrain or is it like a bitmap file drawn accross the screen?

I would suggest making a backup of your saved games and plugins and then re-installing the game. That always fixes problems for me. It could have been a installation error, I would suggest the same thing for you rabbit. Just remember, make backups so you don't loose any work! Good luck!

Hmmm, does it seem to be a graphic problem as opposed to an installation problem or a corrupt file?? 42.gif

Can you actually get rid of it by tweaking the graphic options?? 42.gif

    Hmm...

After experimenting a little, just laying some streets over it seemed to flatten it down on the actual city, and hopping between city and region mode a few times, saving each time, eventually got rid fo it from the region view.

I'm glad this works with stacks, though be warned that if you suffer the opposite fate (a hole) that this won't work. You'll get cannot build on this terrain type because the game thinks you're trying to lay a street over one corner of water.

well im glad you fixed it, a problem i often have is when loading greyscale maps the moutains are everest peaks and the valleys are deep canyons, like the x and y coordinates of the terrain stay the same the the z coordinates are stretched wildly out of proportion.

I've had a few problems with my regions too, the config has errors. I fixed it and it was good again. I've also noticed since I got a lot of plugins, SC4 crashes more, is slower, maybe reinstall the game.

I got a hole while working with the NAM, but I thought it was cool and made up a little story about The Hole... As for stacks, it's never happened to me.
