Im trying my hand at Northern British Railway Architecture now, heres Southbury Station, a fictional station.

Ahh it has a sort of Lancashire/Yorkshire look about it, not personally what I would call northern (born & breed Geordie here) but looks absolutly belter, is it a terminus or a through station, because personally just from the look of the station it would work better as a thru station.

Nice work.  I've used plenty of stations in my current region and I've noticed that each seems to be either a through station or a terminus.  Nice to see you creating a mixed platform station.  It's pretty common for a mid-size town to have a station with terminal platforms for local lines and a through main line.

 

Just a couple of thoughts, though ... one is not to forget a disabled ramp with all those steps leading up to the station and secondly that I think the shop signs would look better set into the arches rather than running across them.

Wonderful stuff tonks, only thing I would personally change is add a regional railways name on the building such as GNER, perhaps put a few bars in the ground floor of the building as is quite common with most of our stations up here in the North , oh and put in a taxi rank just outside the station.

Great work, tonks. I like your new set with modern buildings. The Euston Tower is no exception. Maybe a bit more work with the transfer between the roof and the wall but I guess you've thought of that already, anyway, great building. Regards,

I have spent 6 hours working on the walls of this one, so a lot of work has gone into this. It will soon be One Cabot Square, Canary Wharf, London.

Progress Report

 

Heres an update on One Cabot Square, i have added a temporary roof and completed the ground floor columns. I still need to model the ground floor offices, add some interior floors to prevent being able to see through to the other side, and add the entrances.
