    Im gonna leave the bridge out, as with all GLR stations, bridges dont really make an appearance (due to the crossable nature of tramlines). I think a bridge would clutter the model to much anyway. thanx for your suggestions though. 1.gif

    A GLR station?  I thought it was rail.  As you say, no bridge required then.

    Love the works Tonks by the way absolutely pure belter.

    Anyhow here comes the request, would it be possible for you to release the models of your various high street shops as I would love to be able to customise them myself to add some varity to my cities and also to see some more regional shops take up residence in my city.

    Your GLR stuff is pretty canny like, only think I think you could do with for your CJ is some older looking stations like what we have up here in Geordieland on the T&W Metro, we have a few old Suburban Railway stations dateing from the mid to late 19th century which have simply been changed to Metro use following the Beeching axe, good examples are South Gosforth (Which also holds the Metro control centre), and West Jesmond.

    South Gosforth retains the original platforms and iron bridge linking the two, however the old waiting rooms have been replaced with a 70's style shelter on one side and a the control centre on the other. Jesmond is a contrast in that the station has been completely retained only a bridge has been added to complement the original victorian underpass linking the two platforms.

    Shall get some pics for ya soon as they would look proper mint in your CJ and just help to add a little more realism. But then again it might just be a bit too much graft like.

    Sorry for the Geordie slang have just been reading it and realise that I still seed it over me English!

    The lighting looks great but I got one question.How is HVAC Tech suppose to get on the roof to fix the air conditioner and heating units?.

    Yes, I'd like to see a small box building on the roof to house the elevator motors and a door to acess the roof. That's help with the realism. I love how the HVACs are sunken! Some drainage grates evenly spaced out on the open roof area could help to give the eye something to look at. Ooh, you could even apply some water stains around them too!

    The only other thing I can see is that there are no floors between windows. If you're thinking of doing interior lighting, floors will be necesarry to seperate light bleeding from floor to floor. But you may have already had this in mind. 19.gif

    Great model! Looking forward to its release

    In answer to a few questions, the HVAC tech accesses the roof via a hatch in the side of the large grey roof which covers the lift motors and other equipment.

    Thanx for taking care of the roof access.

       I went and did a little research on the building and boy did you hit the nail on the head.44.gif

    Just a really tiny hint about the night lights: Take care that when you light one window directly at the corner, the other corner window is also lit. 2.gif Unless there are diagonal walls inside, of course...3.gif

    Looks great so far! A realistic no-frills tower. How high is this going to be in game? It won't reach NDEX spheres, I guess... which would be perfect, because that height level is terribly crowded. 9.gif

    Canalside Mills

    Followers of my CJ will be familiar with this, this is the model seen in Birmingsfield.
    This is a big project and there is alot to go yet.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//canalsidemills1.jpg align=baseline>
    The East Entrance, note the underground carpatk entrance (still needs covering). The building design is a reletivly bland PoMo design with blank walls each end and glass walls on the sides.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//canalsidemills2.jpg align=baseline>
    The South side, a simple glass facade covers the multi level shopping center here. Shops occupying the Lower Floor have entrances on the outside protected by the canopy (note the similarity to my Tonkso High Street Shop Set 1) The BArs and Restaraunts at the top will all be unique soon (the boring steel and glass is a temorary measure). There is a bridge connecting the West Entrance here too (to include a transit enabled road).

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//canalsidemills3.jpg align=baseline>
    Another view of the carpark entrance, this will require some carefull lodding.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//canalsidemills4.jpg align=baseline>
    The grand West Entramce, note the glitch on the wall at the bottom, i will redo the spline to hopefully sort that out. This bland plaza will be lodded for props or may include some sort of fountain, wherever my creativity takes me i suppose. The doors at the bottom are for the carpark and will be signposted soon (i may add a canopy to them too).

    Wow...I am loving this!!!  36.gif

    We really need a UK-style shopping centre in-game, I have made several attempts at starting one but they haven't gone very far.  Super work...except why is 'Center' spelt the American way?  If this is a UK style building then it should be 'Centre'.

    Well, these two buildings of late have just been spectacular!

    I love shopping precinct as it just fits into any UK style city, although it does 'elp if yer 'ave a canal already! But the concept of a precinct is so simple, it's stange how nobody has BATTED one before! This building also fits in with Simgoobers multi story which is good too!

    Great Work!

    I would like to make a huge compliment. the TONKSO Bat's are getting better and better. The last pictures really astounded me, especially the see-through facade of the building and the interior of the building.

    A few points regarding Canalside Centre..The US road texture, do you plan to add the Euro texture instead? Also the shops, hope you are planning to do different companies. Trees seem a bit strange?

    Look forward to seeing Russell Square. You could develop the archway theme. I'm always looking for old brick buildings and thought an archway commercial row would work well...perhaps a market, fish shop?
