I've got a problem. I'm getting messages all the time that says that industry needs room to expand. But the RCI bar is far below avarage... What am I supposed to do about that.

And one moore thing, everybody talks about different type cap relievers and lists of the lelieving buildings along with their effects. Where can I find such a list?

The mesages you get from the advisors are sometimes only in the interest of that advisor.  If you have no demand, and/or you don't want any more *whatever* just ignore them.

I could actually build a city without or almost without industry then? In that case what benefits do I lose if I ignore industry demand (advisor, not RCI-demand)... could I do the same with if the RCI had been maxxed

Yes, you can create cities with only one of the RCI's,  and in that case you would need the support of neighboring cities to supply the missing faction.  The industrial zones provide valuable jobs, some that are not supplied by commerial zones.  So it is mostly up to you as mayor to get the proper balance.  I get the advisor always wanting more commercial zones a lot.  It is just one of the challenges the designers put into the game, to learn when to listen to the advisor, and when to use your own judgement.

My suggestion is that some ordinances which attracts industry, may be enacted. If you try repealing them, it should work. A city adjacent to it which has plenty of industry with minimal residents there might help, but that solution may not be guaranteed to work, though.

    1) ok. But if I on the other hand wanted more industry, what should I do? It seems that whatever I do, industry is deturmend not to grow... I have about 42k in my city right now 9k industry (jobs?) but I want more... And at the same time I want to reduce the rate of abandoning ®... apparently C isn't enough... but whatever I do industry won't grow... It grew just fine before I turned the clean air ordinance on... but then Industry completly stopped growing I turned it of but nothing changed... It shouldn't have anything to do with the ordinance right?

    I have:

Betel:  There are a lot of things that will increase demand, and encourage development.  There are threads here on ST that give hints on how to start and build cities.  There are hints and tricks on simcity.ea.com.   Last but not least is the game user manual.  To get into how to correct what you are having issues with would be much to lengthy here.
