It is diffinitely not free, last I heard it was somewhere between 4 to 6 thousand USD.

I have it, its more like 4 thousand. Its a much better program. Like the differance between paint and photoshop. I dont think the BAT supports it though....

I have 3ds max 7 and the bat will not read the program. It only wants gmax and I have not found anything to change that. Just keep with gmax for simcity thats all you need right now, plus the other program is very expensive.

Personally, I have never heard anything that you are talking about in 3DSMAX, but then again, I haven't bothered to listen for it either.  I know that it is incredibly more powerful than gmax, but I think that its sheer price is going to be its deterant.15.gif

There is a BAT MOD for 3Ds in one of the forums, you can probably find it in one of the BAT threads.

EDIT:  If you have not found it yet, here is where you can download it:

Here is the information/support page:

Just stick with Gmax (thats complicated enougth),  3D Max is really only for full blown game designers.

I am quite fully-blown with 3D design. But I do not assume that the BAT tool is compatible with 3dsMax.

Constantina:  If you will click on the links in my previous post, you will see what is available for 3Ds Max.
