Alkanefield - Update 03:Expressway Nerd

Preface

Alkanefield is my first CJ which is a essayistic journal. It will be accomplished before this July.

As a Chinese "SC4 to CSL" Player,my English level still need to be improved. If My words and sentences have misquotations, please point out my mistakes. I'll correct those conscientiously.

It's delighted to write the CJ to us.I not only share my designs, thoughts with everyone, but also let me understand and enjoy the interesting designs in Simtropolis better.

Return from the digression. The next is to introduce Alkanefield.

Update 01:Where it all begins

Beforehand, I have been building the city by normal mode rather than unlimited-money mode. So some construction will be compromised with the system of Cities:Skylines.

So the beginning of Alkanefield is similar to that of other cities: a small town with about 1100 pop.

Out of the purpose of preventing from pollution, the industrial area lies in the west of the river(their place names are TBA:-)). The east of the river then becomes the main developing area of the city.

Liberation Bridge, a bridge what has a common name in China, becomes the unique corridor connecting the two areas.

Obviously, the two-lane-road bridge will be blocked soon.

A common industrial area, a coal power plant provide the electricity of the city currently.

The Crossing lying in the city center. There is only a cheaply-priced commercial area now. But what it will be in the future?

Residential areas.

Up to now,Alkanefield is only a mediocre small town.

In future updates, the small town will be changed into a presentable city gradually.

@michae95l :I use photoshop CS2 to process the images and I use the HDR effect straightforwardly.

Update 02:Tedious Expansion

Welcome to the 2nd update of Alkanefield.
This update is a transition. After that,a variety of construction is going to start.
 

The city has been expanding radially towards the north.
To bypass the cross-river traffic,Alkanefield build a new bridge(Wheatley Bridge) and a simple interchange between the bypass road and C-1 Expressway.

It will be upgraded according to the situation.

Here is the crossing on the industrial area center.
The vehicle flow is busy.
 

Downtown.
The wind power point take replace the inefficient coal power plant.
 

Stanford Ave.
 

Simeon Hillock Park.
The first pubilc urban park in Alkanefield.
 

Under the bridge,from Riverside Rd.
 

The junction about C-1 to A-80.
 

The rail will be built following to the development of thr city.
Rail System and Metro System will be a important part in the CJ.

Update 03:Expressway Nerd

I'd like to explain something before the update:
the published content and the actual process is unsynchronized.
Because I didn't thought about publishing the CJ the at first.
So I will not use tunnels and the metro overpass in future updates...
 

Alkanefield is expanding sectorally.
You can see that C-1 Alkanefield Loop Expwy is being built.

The new bridge"New Kenny Bridge"is built.
In addition,the roundabout and the parclo interchange is built to satisfy the traffic demand.

At least it makes the city to be not just in name only, but also in reality.
