Hi

Not sure if this is the right way to go about this, but I'm looking for a particular config set up and I dont know where to start looking.

There are so many requests for maps on the official request thread that I'm just concerned this will get lost amongst them.  Besides its not a map request !

I'm looking for a way of having a central large map with borders to 6 other large maps. I'm taking a guess at the layout, but I've not been able to find one quite the same. I wondered if anyone might be able to help.

I've tried to figure out making one of my own, but my simplistic mind can't get round it.

I'd really appreciate any help offered.

What I want looks like this (please excuse my poor attempt at an example):

Rochefort: I don't know if you were asking for a config.bmp for that layout, but I attached one anyway.  Unzip it and add the extension [.bmp] as it wouldn't attach with the extension.

Thanks Tungston, but the map showed up kinda weird when I loaded it.

Here's a snapshot of one area, but the other parts are also a bit strange.

I seem to end up with quite a few anomolies when I load custom configs. The main thing tends to be that although on the region view the map looks fine, once I open a city it is usually raised x 4. Never understood that nor bothered to query it. I just usually lower it by 4.

Any ideas on what's wrong? Must be something I've either downloaded or done to the programme, but I'm at a loss to what it is.

    Thanks

Sorry, last night I forgot to put in my plexiglass stomach.  Attached is the corrected config file.

To make just a region with no terrain, create a subfolder with the name you like.  Create it in the My Documents\Simcity4\Regions\*your choice of name*.  Now just copy the config.bmp in that folder.
