Breaking News

 

Another Earthquake struck. This time Closer to Downtown San Francisco. The Palace is right above luckly it did not destory!

just a lot a damage nearby!

 

The Big building was destoryed. But nobody was inside. at the time. Well the earthqauke stuck late at night once again. Sims are wondering why only at night?

The ferry building was destoryed!

 

The tall building fell the one right next to McDonalds. Some sim kids said at least McDonalds did not fall!

The Virgin Church- San Francisco

 

Holy Virgin Cathedral of San Francisco.

This imposing Byzantine-style structure is crowned with five onion domes, each covered in 24-karat gold leaf. On a bright day, the sunlight hitting it is dazzling. Over the door, the mosaic tympanum, represents the Virgin Mary floating on a background of tiles also covered in pure gold leaf. Inside, is a glimpse back in time. The interior, consecrated in 1977, could just as easily date from 1577. Through the incense gleams the gold of more mosaics, these depicting various saints, and the precious metals of the icons that are everywhere.

I am in love with the style of this church!

I must say: I'm a little jealous. I tried to kinda rebuild SF too. But I'm not living there nor have I ever lived there, which made it rather difficult. So I dropped it. But you did a great job. I fell in love with this city watching Nash Bridges. And when I go over your CJ, I feel that I'm seeing places which I know from the TV Show. I especially like the way you show the visitors around. From district to district. I like it. Keep it going!

Geary Blvd.-San Francisco

One of the roads that can get very busy. Going from The beach to Downtown To downtown to the beach this Road goes across San Francisco. It is a well known road. But get ready to stop a lot.

 

 

 

Here is Highway 1. I will be talking about that Highway next too.

 

You may have seen too many Starbucks. Well There are so many on in san francisco! There are like 3 just on Geary Blvd.!

Great update.... Simple avenue done perfectly. Great use of many trees and everything looking so lush. Nice sports area with the parking looked cool. Of corse the suspense to down town is intense!!!! I'm 'waiting for it.

Nice group of photos. I haven't been to San Fran, yet. But I must say that based on what people are saying, this is the best SimCity 4 reproduction of a real live city. Now, I'm wondering, are you going to do the areas north and south of San Fran (unless you have already done so), or are you just sticking to the penisula and Oakland?

PS, maybe somebody can try to do the Baltimore City area? Or maybe they can do some Baltimore City landmarks? I live in the area, by the way.

Thank you for your comments! a lot of people have been PMing me to make another city but I am not going to do it. well because I used to live in San Francisco and that is the only huge city I know and know where everything is. So sorry

Highway 1

Highway 1 once again. Yes once again! This is where it starts in San Francisco. Just off Highway 101 which heads to Downtown.

as you can see Highway 1 has some distances! this highway sure does go very far. as far as southern california!  and it goes right throught san francisco! but not downtown you would have to take Geary Blvd. for that

I really like the highway 1 tunnel. Realistic with the IKEA sign! All the trees are fully grown. I like that. Review.... argh can't wait for downtown . . . .

Construction-San Francisco

A new building will be put here a new opera house. Not yet knowing when it will be built but for sure this will be one for the most wonderful buildings around San Francisco!

 

 

 

 

 

The homes in the area don't really mind with the noise as this is a great project and everybody is waiting for the building!

 

 

The High school sure does not like this project as too many cars already come during the morning hours to get to school and then after school there can be traffic stuck at a stand still and now the school wants to move away from the project. but then sims that live in the area will get mad as a high school near them wants to move away. Things can't get much worst!'

 

 

More homes near the area.
