Howdy all :)

As my first post here, I wanted to make it worth it share a few pics with you all of a map I've been working on today.

This is the far left side of the starting tile. Suddenly, a wild spring appears!

Far edge of the playable area; seveal streams join further down and cascade into the ocean

First top down view, starting tile is approx bottom centre of the frame

Calm waterfalls add to the atmosphere :)

The start of the smaller streams mentioned previously, this is near the upper corner of the map, visible, but not playable area (outside of 25 tiles)

Spun the camera around 180 degrees from previous shot, looking towards upper left corner of map

And finally, a top down, 90 degree view of the majority of the map.

So far, I've only added 2 highway connections and 2 train connections.

The train track follows the contours of the entire edge of the map, below the top surface level;

There is at least 100 miles of train track already, it took about 90mins or so to lay out the one track, carefully following the edge, fixing terrain issues as they arose.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm fully open to them :)

Also if anyone has any ideas on how I would setup/layout a 3rd and 4th highway connection, I would really appreciate any ideas for that, as I'm kinda stumped because there are only really 2 workable edges of the map, and not 4 (they are just ocean)

Cheers :D

Looks nice and Norwegian, but I think the highway is not curvy enough.

This could be the wrong thread. I think this belongs in 'Modding - Open Discussion'.

    Thanks Ultimate727 :)

Welp, can a mod or admin please move this to appropriate section? I don't like creating duplicate posts when I've posted in the wrong sub forum.

Interesting you mention not being curvy though, while I was creating it, I was thinking "hmmm I shouldn't make this too curvy" Lol... I was thinking about creating a sunken highway in parts of it, to give it that bit of variation but also to try something new...

I meant I didn't really like that one straight piece of highway, with the intersection on it.

(Lol something off topic: I always thought Newcastle was in England :P )

Heh yeah, that is the starting tile, I find that most of the maps I've played that have an open starting area (mostly flat) the highway connections going through it are usually straight

And lol, Newcaslte in Aus is named after the city in England (which the UK city is technically called Newcaslte Upon Tyne), but in Aus, we just call it Newcastle. All of the suburbs around here are all suburbs named after the English city too, e.g Cardiff, Wickham, Hamilton, Belmont, Carrington, etc. Actually, funny enough, all of those names are Auto generated district names in CSL as well :P I laughed when it gave me "Belmont Heights" because that is a real suburb about 15mins drive away from where I live.
