are your Blender models 'invisible'? this might help

So I've been having lots of issues with models not showing up in the lot editor browser. I've been going crazy trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong as sometimes models have worked, I've re-scaled them and then they won't load again.

I think I know what might have been the problem. I was exporting models from 'object mode'(which is correct) but when I selected to export I think I pressed 'a' to select all. I just realised that selects the lighting as well, I am having much better luck deselecting all and clicking once on my object before going to export. I just thought I'd share that in case anyone else who's new to blender (as I am) was coming up against the same problem!
