I have a question about that generic label, Simtropolis Geek. It's on Cjah right now. That is a temporary generic label right? Because I remember Jacqulina having Simtropolis Geek temporarily. According to the last update, this generic label isn't a frozen one.

Not sure that I understand the question but all generic labels are temporary unless one has been frozen on a particular individual.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

I think what he means is that iy can exist on more than one person at any given time, right?

Generic member labels are based on post count so will change depending pureley on how much that user's post count changes. This means it can be on more than one person at any time. The only exception to this rule is when it is frozen, this is basically when it is made a custom member label for a user so then it will only change manually and not by post count changes.

As far as I know it is a oridinary generic label.

Date: 1/19/2006 5:15:16 PM Author: Yoshi25 can i get a member label or do i have to get an award?
quote>
You can get labels for being good, helpful, nice, or when you win an award and then a certain characteristic (or something the staff pick up) is used to make that label.
Of course, you can get a label for being bad, but I don't think they give those out often, and it usually comes with a lovely complimentary ban seeing as you're so bad you get a label to yourself. =P

But if you keep trying to be nice and are active, you might just get one. 9.gif

I feel it's time to bust out the generic label list again. This time I will attempt to put approximations on their post count:

Just Arrived (1 post)
Stranger (2-10 posts)
Passerby (11-26 posts)
Squatter (27-62 posts)
Tourist (63-95 posts)
Local Yokel (96-138 posts)
Dweller (139-222 posts)
Resident (223-336 posts)
Commoner (337-457 posts)
Citizen (458-512 posts)
Suburbanite (513-653 posts)
Urbanite (654-789 posts)
City Slicker (790-944 posts)
Statesman (944-1050 posts)
Mogul (1051-1192 Posts)
Loyalist (1193-1346 posts)
Patriot (1347-1610 posts)
Veteran (1611-1878 posts)
Dignitary (1879-2014 posts)
Local Legend (2015-2103 posts)
Local Hero (2104-2222 posts)
Suburban Legend (2223-2348 posts)
Suburban Hero (2349-2400 posts)
Urban Legend (2401-2600 posts)
Adventurer (2601-2794 posts)
Hometown Hero (2795-2950 posts)
Celebrity (2951-3250 posts)
Simtropolis Geek (3251-3500 posts)
Simtropolis Enthusiast (3501-4000 posts)
Simtropois Devotee (4001+ posts)

Notes:
-most of these values reflect when I changed labels, however, some I do not have very accurate figures for, either because said label didn't exist when I was at that level, or because I never made it that far in the lineup.
-even the values which I do have may not be accurate since the figures are on occasion altered slightly by the administration.
-if you notice exactly when your label changes and find that it's different from my numbers, let me know so I can fix it!

All that said, I'm considering tacking on the generic list to the custom list and just making it a member label list. Any thoughts or comments on this?

I think that jacqulina had Simtropolis Devotee before getting Trixie Winner 2005.

Congrats on your CML, YAH.  I don't know how long you've had it, but I just now noticed it.  It makes a lot of sense too.9.gif

No, the most prestigious label available is Un-Rewound and only one of us is cool enough to have that label.

Yes you right it may not be. For a long time it was thought that Simtropolis Enthusiast was the higest generic label since nobody had yet got beyond that without a custom member label. This changed when jacqulina discovered Simtropolis Devotee. There is a good chance there may be more after that.

What we need is a member to do a test on! Someone that posts alot and has a high post count! Then we could see how high the generic labels go! 3.gif

Well, encouraging spam is against the rules.  But it's possible we could take a limited number of volunteers to lose their custom labels for day or two.  We shall have to ponder that.

Yeah tho...I'm no spamer and if you want to argue it...then I'm all game since its been quite a good while since I got my teeth into something....9.gif

Anyway I plan on getting to 5,000 by March or earlier and after that I may just take a break, but that'd  be up to who ever wants to test the generic system labels...

umm,but yeah I'm no spammer and look at others who post nothing but spam...actaully nevermind....

I have no problem with spam, but I'm no maker of it....

On to 4,000!39.gif
