So how do you get a custom label, anyways?

I've always thought they were Trixie Winners but I've seen some with custom labels but no Trixies, and Trixies with no custom label.

Trixie Winners get a "CML" that says "Trixie Winner [year]" or something like that I had it for a while (before my regular CML)

I can't find the new CML though lol mabye it is the TM guy

This is what hamsterTK said just a few pages back. Its a set of theories but they all seem to fit.

First and foremost I think people who bring something to the table whether it be something that takes talent or skill gained from practice like custom content, or jus if they brings a lot to the discussions that go on here, have a chance of getting one. I think the big test is if a person makes a great enough impact and attains a sizable popularity to get the right person's attention which of course is required because not everyone can reward their fellow user with a label.

Another theory of mine is that I think people with relatively interesting, unique, or admirable real life occupations, interests, or achievements, which are known by the community, have a somewhat better chance of recieving them.

Also, I believe some usernames and avatars naturally lend themselves to CML's and that if the individual with the name/image in question overall is thought to be a contributing member of the site then they have a reasonable chance of getting a label.

Finally, I think the admins give a tiny number of them out randomly to an unsuspecting individual(who usually is a known worthy reciepient regardless of the spur of the moment decision)  every once in a blue moon just because they like doing it and it usually evokes a positive response from the community.
