Large city glitch

Hello, I have a problem which  I was told may be because my cpu is multicore. I have a problem which causes the lower area of a large region to go see-through. Water region's islands allow you to see water through a portion. Water in flat regions dips down weirdly. And normal ground in flat regions shows the background of the "Void". Buildings completely cover this though. But for aesthetic purposes I'd like to know of a fix that isn't drastic.

Multi-core processors cause the game to be unstable and frequently crash, another problem entirely (but one you should definitely address if you haven't; there's a million threads on the subject).

The hole-in-the-region glitch that you've described is caused by running the game at too high a resolution.  If you have a Macbook with a Retina display, this could likely be the case.

What version of the game are you using? Aspyr's port or the one from Steam? Either way, on Mac the multicore thing isn't as big of an issue. As for the graphics issues, are you using any terrain mods? In my experience, the only terrain mod that works reliably is the Columbus Terrain Mod (or you can use the Appalachian Terrain Mod's textures as long as you don't use the controller)

I've had this in Maxis. So It's not my terrain mod. I'm using steam.
